As the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Düsseldorf is a cosmopolitan, dynamic, welcoming and internationally well-positioned metropolis in the Rhineland, and is thus located in the heart of Europe. Heinrich Heine University (HHU) Düsseldorf is also optimally networked regionally and internationally, and fosters the international exchange of its members at all levels. It offers an excellent scientific environment in the faculties, internal and external research institutes and in myriad third-party funded research associations. Several hundred international scientists from all corners of the globe come to stay at HHU to conduct research every year. The broad spectrum of services our Welcome Center offers for scientists makes it possible for them to quickly concentrate on their research or teaching projects.
