Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University

Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University was founded as a foundation university by the Knowledge Dissemination Foundation bound with the Higher Education Law of 2547. In the very same location, which Mehmet Âkif was both a student and a teacher, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University provides education now.

Today, the dining room which once Mehmet Âkif and his companions used to go, is designated as Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Mehmet Âkif Ersoy Lobby Room. The interior door is decorated with the verses of the National Anthem and with a large portrait of Âkif. Mehmet Âkif Ersoy Agriculture Museum is situated on the same campus and is a reminder to our youth of our great poet.
