Fachhochschule Nordhausen

Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences was inaugurated on November 5th 1997 amidst a festive foundation ceremony.

In the winter semester of 1998/99, the university opened its doors to 140 students in the fields of business administration, social management and technical redevelopment (now environmental and recycling technology). Since then, the range of degree courses has been extended by technical computer science (2000), health and social services (2002), regenerative energy technology (2003) and public management (2003).

Within the framework of the Bologna process, around 2000 students are now provided with training which is both scientific and practical in 12 bachelor and 8 master programmes at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. This training is oriented towards both the region, Europe and the European labour market.
