Is summer school open to anyone?

This is a two week summer school. It is open especially for undergraduate and postgraduate students of economics and business, ecology, environmental sciences and environmental protection, as well as European studies and public sector economics. Students from other fields are also welcomed.

If I am a student at Faculty of Economics and Business Maribor, do I have to apply to summer school?

How much does it cost?

The FEB summer school fee for undergraduate and graduate students is 690,25€.

The fee includes: tuition and study materials, use of FEB library and computer rooms, company visits with sightseeing, organised social activities, breakfast and lunch on week-days and accommodation in double or single rooms.

The fee does not include: transport to and from Maribor, health insurance, visa costs, additional meals, individual sightseeing trips and personal expenses. 

The scholarship covering the fee is offered to students from our partner institutions:

  • Ten (10) students from Faculty of Economics and Business Maribor 
  • Five (5) students from Slovakia - Comenius University Bratislava
  • Five (5) students from Romania – Universitatea Constantin Brancusi din Targu-Jiu
  • Four (4) students from Spain – University of Jaen 
  • Two (2) students from Faculty of Economics Ljubljana

For above stated number of students from our partner institutions travel costs for students are also covered – maximum travel costs per home country of the participants are:

SK- Slovakia: 400 €

RO – Romania: 400 €

ES – Spain: 500 €

Do grades and credits count toward graduation?

In line with your home university policy you can earn 9 ECTS credits, if you fulfill all modules’ requirements. Together with the ECTS you receive a Certificate of attendance.

Is housing available during the summer?

How do I apply?

What are the academic expectations for students?

The summer school is designed for undergraduate and graduate students. Attendance, completion of assignments, and critical engagement are expected of all students. Specific requirements for each course are determined by the instructor.

Can I use the libraries on campus?

All resources available to full and part time students of FEB  are also available for enrolled visiting students, including libraries.
