Lending

THE EPF LIBRARY PROVIDES LOAN SERVICES FOR:

  • University of Maribor (UM) students
  • Students from other universities and external users

REGISTRATION

  • UM students: confirmation of enrollment, ID card, or student card required
  • UM students without active status: ID card, student card, and proof of extended student services (arranged at your faculty office)
  • Other users: ID card and a photo (see price list)
  • Online registration (for UM students and staff)

You sign a registration form with a declaration on a digital signature pad.
(If you register online, sign the form on your first visit to the library.)

LOAN PERIOD

Unless otherwise stated, the standard loan period for EPF Library materials is one month.
Students with disabilities can borrow mandatory study materials for the entire academic year. provided the library holds at least ten copies of the requested material.

PAYMENT OF DEBTS AND FEES

You can settle outstanding fees in the library or make online payments on the Cobiss+ portal.
Log in to My COBISS Profile (My Library) and follow the instructions under the “Debts and Restrictions” section.
Available payment methods include: Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, Diners Club, VALU Moneta, mBills, and NLB Klik.

SEARCHING FOR MATERIALS

Users first search for materials independently in the COBISS database and note the desired item's call number (shelf mark).
You can then give the written call number to the librarian to get the item, or you can find it yourself on the shelf.

RESERVATION AND RENEWAL OF BORROWED MATERIALS / PASSWORD FOR SERVICES

Upon registration, you will receive a link via email to set your password for reserving materials through COBISS/OPAC.
If you register online, you set the password during the registration process.

So that you know, you will be notified via email when your reserved materials are ready for pickup.
You can easily renew borrowed items via My Library using the same password.
You can also access these services through the mCOBISS mobile app.

UM students use the same password for remote access to electronic resources.
