Remote Access to E-sources

Students at the University of Maribor can access most subscription-based electronic information resources from computers located in the UKM reading room, from computers on University of Maribor premises, or remotely.

Remote access allows users to access information resources directly “from home.”

According to license agreements, the use of resources is permitted only for personal or study and research purposes at the University of Maribor. Licensing terms regulate the use of electronic resources, summarized in the Terms of Use for Electronic Information Resources.

Conditions for Use

  • Valid student status or extended student services for the current academic year
  • Valid (renewed) library membership (register in person or via online registration)
  • A personal password set for using My Library (Moja knjižnica) or Libroam services

Remote access is only available if there are no outstanding debts to the library.

 

Instructions for Remote Access to Electronic Resources

  1. Open the link: https://ukm.um.si/en/content/electronic-sources 
  2. In the alphabetical list of electronic resources available at UKM, find the database you want to search (e.g., SpringerLink).
  3. Log in with your credentials:

    • Username: ukm.0000000000@libroam.si — replace the zeros with:

      • your student ID number (found on your student card) OR
      • your library card number (if the number is 99999, add leading zeros to make it seven digits).
    • Password: the same as the one you use for COBISS – My Library.

     

    Important: For remote access to work, you must be registered in the library and have a valid membership!

Instructions for Setting a Password for COBISS and Remote Access

Before accessing electronic resources, you must set a password for COBISS. If you register online, you can put it in during the registration process.

  1. Open https://plus.cobiss.net/cobiss/si/en/user/login
  2. Click on “Forgot Password”
  3. Fill out the required fields:
    • Library: EPF
    • Card number: your student ID or library card number
    • Email: your student email (e.g., name.surname@student.um.si)

     

You will receive an email with a link to set your password.

 

Instructions for Online Library Registration

  1. Open https://plus.cobiss.net/cobiss/si/sl/user/join/aai/epf
  2. Click the ArnesAAI button
  3. Select your home organization – University of Maribor
  4. Log in using your digital identity (name.surname@student.um.si) and the same password you use for your email or AIPS
  5. Click “Yes, continue”
  6. Choose and confirm the password you will use for COBISS access
  7. Check the box “I agree to the Terms of Use”
  8. Click “Register in the library”
  9. After successful online registration, sign the registration form and declaration on the digital signature pad during your first library visit
