Frequently asked questions
Can I join the exchange programs as a foreign student here?
Yes, if you are a regular student at our Faculty, you are able to participate in the exchange programs.
It is mandatory to pay the tuition at our faculty even when you are at the foreign institution, and you must have a valid residence permit in Slovenia even during your time in the other country.
What kinds of programs are available?
There are three main options you can choose from in Erasmus+ programme.
1. Study abroad: Students can spend a semester or two studying at a Faculty in another country. The credits earned during your stay abroad are transferable and count towards your degree at our faculty. You can apply until 15.3. to ensure all the foreign Faculties will still be accepting exchange students.
2. Blended intensive program (BIP): Short program that typically includes a one-week exchange in a foreign country, preceded by a virtual online component. While it doesn't replace any subjects at our faculty, it serves as an additional experience that will be noted as a supplement to your diploma. The application dates vary depending on the specific program.
3. Traineeship abroad: Students can also do an Erasmus+ Internship/Traineeship either during their studies as a part of their academic curriculum or voluntarily. During their Internship abroad in the countries that are a part of Erasmus+ KA131 programme, students are also eligible for an Erasmus+ scholarship. Upon successful completion of the internships/traineeship, the information will be added to the student's Diploma Supplement.
Do I have to return to Slovenia after the exchange?
Yes, after your study exchange, you have to come back to Slovenia and finish all of your remaining obligations here. Firstly, that means finalizing the post-exchange documentation and of course also finish all of your remaining exams and final thesis.
