Application Procedure for Erasmus+ Internship/Traineeship

A student can carry out professional practical training or Erasmus+ internship in a company or organization abroad. The students find the company or organization themselves, but the internship cannot be conducted in EU institutions and other organizations managing EU programs. The professional practical training must be related to the student's field of study.

The search for Erasmus+ internships is possible on the following portals:

  1. https://erasmusintern.org/traineeships
  2. https://myinternship.eu/our-database/
  3. https://www.trainingexperience.org/

When a student finds the desired company for the internship, they must personally submit the following application documentation at the faculty:

  • Application form: https://aips.um.si/StudentsExchange.asp - the completed application must be printed, signed, and also signed by the mentor at the home faculty, who is the Head of Study Field;
  • Original confirmed (signature and stamp) Learning Agreement for Traineeship;
  • Application form for an internship abroad - Form 5
  • Motivation letter;
  • Valid current enrollment certificate, which must not be older than two weeks.

There is no deadline for application. The University of Maribor accepts applications until all places are filled and funds are exhausted. If there are more applications received simultaneously than there are available places on that day, priority will be given to applicants who have not previously participated in professional practical training abroad under the Erasmus+ program.

The student must submit the application before starting the activity abroad.

Mobility Period

The mobility period can last from 2 months (min. 60 days) to 12 months (max. 360 days). A student can receive a grant for mobility periods that together last a maximum of 12 months (whether it is Erasmus+ study or Erasmus+ Traineeship mobility) per individual cycle or level of study, regardless of the number or type of mobility activities.

The mobility period can be realized during the studies of the first, second, and third cycles or within a maximum of one year after the student graduates. This also includes "assistantships" for future teachers.
