BIP - Blended Intensive Programme Student Mobilities
Blended Intensive Programs (hereinafter referred to as BIP) are programs that utilize innovative methods of learning and teaching, including online collaboration. These programs may involve challenge-based learning, where transnational and transdisciplinary groups work together to solve challenges. The purpose of BIPs is to enable new and more flexible forms of student exchange, combining physical and virtual mobility.
All students of the University of Maribor can apply for BIPs, and financial support is also available to all students who participate in the physical implementation of BIPs, partially covering the costs of physical attendance. BIP programs are conducted between partner institutions and participating countries.
Partner institutions are those institutions with which an Interinstitutional Agreement of the Erasmus+ program is signed.
Program (participating) countries include European Union member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Türkiye, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
Participation in the BIP program is then evaluated and recognized for the student with credit points (minimum of 3 ECTS points), and the completed BIP is credited to the student as an addition to their diploma.
Students who can apply for BIP programs and consequently for financial support are those who:
- Have valid student status for the entire duration of participation in BIP;
- Will not exceed the maximum total duration of mobility during their participation in BIP (the total duration of Erasmus+ studies/internships must not exceed 12 months per study cycle);
- BIP is conducted in a foreign country, meaning the student is not studying and/or residing in that country;
- A student who is also employed may only apply for this call if their employer will not cover the costs during their participation in BIP based on an issued travel order;
- The student must not have any outstanding financial obligations from mobility programs at the University of Maribor.
