Social Programme

The International Week took place at the Faculty of Economics and Business and was enriched with a social programme, a presentation of our culture and a tour of the city of Maribor. During the International Week we visited the oldest vine in the world. In the Old Vine House, guests enjoyed socialising with each other and tasting various wines and Slovenian delicacies from the Pukšič Farm. As every year, the pleasant gathering by the Drava River was enlivened by a folklore performance by the ''Študent Artistic Cultural Association'', which represents Slovenian culture of dance and singing at home and abroad.

The next day, we visited the Museum of National Liberation with our foreign guests, where we enjoyed a guided tour that introduced us to life in the city of Maribor during and after the World War, and the further development of the city through the different eras. After the interactive and interesting guided tour of the museum, we continued our journey through the city centre of Maribor with our tourist guide Klemen, who presented the most interesting sights of the city from a different perspective. In the evening, we enjoyed excellent food and drinks and music by the brilliant DJ Lexi Dee at the Nana restaurant with local and foreign guests.
