117th International Conference on Economic and Social Development
On 18-19 October 2024, the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Maribor, in cooperation with the Varaždin Agency for Development and Entrepreneurship, will host the 117th International Conference on Economic and Social Development ''Contemporary Opportunities and Challenges for Sustainable Global Economy''. The themes of the international conference focused on, but not limited to, recent challenges in contemporary national economies and business enterprises.
The International Conference is organised by the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business in cooperation with the University North (Croatia), Faculty of Management University of Warsaw (Poland), Faculty of Law, Economics and Social Sciences Sale - Mohammed V University in Rabat (Morocco), ENCGT - Ecole Nationale de Commerce et de Gestion de Tangier/ Abdelmalek Essaâdi University (Morocco), Međimurje University of Applied Sciences in Čakovec (Croatia), University of Aveiro (Portugal) and GOVCOPP - University of Aveiro (Portugal).
The conference has 3 thematic chapters or sessions
Session 1: Navigating Change for Economic Resilience in Global Dynamics;
Session 2: Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Growth in a Globalized Economy;
Session 3: Shaping Agile Organisations in an Era of Rapid Changes.

- Notification of acceptance of abstract: 17 August 2024;
- Submission of contributions to the Proceedings: 23 September 2024;
- Notification of acceptance of final paper: 27 September 2024;
- Early submission: 27 September 2024;
- Deadline for submission: 1 October 2024;
- Publication of the final programme of the ESD Conference: 12 October 2024;
- ESD Conference: 18-19 October 2024.
